Morning Meditation Routine
A modern routine drawing on Buddhist recollection and ethical intention, not a traditional mandatory liturgy.
This educational practice does not diagnose, treat or guarantee an outcome. Stop when needed and seek qualified support where appropriate.
Origin and scope
A modern routine drawing on Buddhist recollection and ethical intention, not a traditional mandatory liturgy.
Posture and setup
Choose a physically sustainable position, keep choice available and begin with a modest duration.
Step 1
Meet basic needs such as water, medication and physical safety first.
Step 2
Sit or stand where natural light and ordinary sound are tolerable.
Step 3
Follow five natural breaths without controlling them.
Step 4
Name the present tone of body and mind in plain language.
Step 5
Choose one realistic intention for speech or action today.
Obstacles and safety
Exhaustion is not a moral failure. Rest, food or practical help may be more appropriate than meditation.
Next practice
Repeat briefly, note what actually occurred, and seek an appropriately qualified teacher when questions exceed this introduction.
