Origin and scope
A contemporary settling practice informed by mindfulness, not a cure for insomnia.
Posture and setup
Choose a physically sustainable position, keep choice available and begin with a modest duration.
Step 1
Prepare a low-stimulation space where practical.
Step 2
Let the body be supported and loosen unnecessary effort.
Step 3
Count ten ordinary exhalations, then release the count.
Step 4
Notice contact points from feet toward the head.
Step 5
If wakefulness becomes frustrating, pause the exercise rather than striving.
